Biography

H. Kent Aguillard, Kent to his friends, grew up on farm in south Louisiana and was reared, nurtured, and trained by Harry and Helyn Aguillard, his WWII generation parents. He is an experienced lawyer with over 44 years in the practice law. While his expertise lies in the fields of bankruptcy, reorganization, and commercial litigation, he has a wealth of life-experiences which enables him to address the needs of people, not just their legal issues. He represents businesses and entities such as corporations or limited liability companies, but Kent sees people. Kent sees Americans, immigrants, patriots, families, and persons in need and he has a passion for helping them. Kent’s advice in non-legal areas is sought by many. He represents a wide range of clients, including debtors, creditors, institutions, individuals, churches, private schools, and businesses, in various commercial and bankruptcy matters as well as in general business. Kent provides legal representation in complex chapter 7 and 11 cases and related litigation but is never too busy to assist the single mother or father, widow, veteran, teachers and coaches or those whose path he crosses in the traffic lanes of life.

Kent holds certifications as a business bankruptcy specialist. Kent has a strong moral compass and lives by the uncompromising moral truth that there is no right way to do the wrong thing. He is admitted to practice in all federal courts in Texas and all courts in Louisiana. Kent travels wherever the needs of his clients dictate. He cherishes and jealously guards his relationship God, the Lord Christ, and with Denise, his wife of over 50 years. Kent is active in Gideons International. The law practice in which he purveys his skills is owned by God. Kent functions as a trustee.
