H. Kent Aguillard has been married to his wife Denise since 1974 and together they are blessed with a large, lively, and energetic family.  Kent has been practicing law since 1980 when after graduating from law school he completed a tenure as a law clerk for the Hon. J. Burton Foret, Judge on the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal.

 

Kent’s practice was initially a general civil practice which included considerable litigation of various types. He also handled a variety of real estate matters, family law, personal injury, successions/probate, and related matters.

 

Kent’s practice is primarily bankruptcy, reorganization, and areas related to that field. Kent is certified by the Louisiana Board of Specialization of the Louisiana Bar Association and the American Board of Certification as a specialist in business bankruptcy. Kent represents debtors, creditor, trustees, and other parties in bankruptcy proceedings.
