Our firm’s founder, Kent Aguillard, has been practicing law since 1980. Early in his career, he completed a tenure as a law clerk for a judge on the Louisiana Court of Appeal for the 3rd Circuit, gaining valuable insight into the ways that judges approach and shape case law.
Kent is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana, all federal courts in Texas, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 6th Circuits. He has been admitted pro hac vice in bankruptcy courts in California, Tennessee and Delaware.

As one of a small number of lawyers who are certified as specialists in business bankruptcy (through the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization and The American Board of Certification), Kent offers in-depth knowledge of all aspects of business bankruptcy proceedings. We are one of the few law firms in the area that have an attorney who can handle these complex business matters.
Kent’s son, Caleb Aguillard, has a robust practice in various areas of law, including business litigation and bankruptcy. He also represents individuals navigating challenging legal troubles such as criminal charges and family transitions. His experience handling contested and high-conflict cases gives him an advantage when these cases end up in court.
